Valentine's Day

WOW! Can you believe this nice warm weather?? It has been so nice to be able to get outside with my family... and to take some photos! Here are some recent ones that I took of Reed and Sydney - I am trying to decide on a photo to frame for my husband for Valentine's Day - so feel free to comment on which of these you would pick..... tomorrow I will be posting some of new baby Teagan and also some of new baby Haley, so check back for those - until then......

Reed and Sydney

Just wanted to add a few pictures of Reed and Sydney, the first one is Reed on his birthday as he turned 4, and the second one is of Sydney sporting her first set of pigtails (oink tails as she calls them)...

 

  

Well, I had promised to post a newborn session recently - so what happened?? As I got ready to go to the session I started to print out the directions from mapquest and while that was printing I jotted down the phone number of the client just in case I got lost and I noticed that it was not the same area code that I have. For some reason I decided to call her and just let her know that I was getting ready to leave and make sure I had the address correct, and as it turns out she and I were in 2 seperate cities and neither of us knew that when we talked about and booked a session. After thinking about it, I don't think that my blog site states what city I am in, so it can be confusing when people find me on the internet. I am going to be updating that info on the website for sure. I wish I had that newborn session to share with you, but we were too far apart and couldn't make it work. 

I will have a newborn session soon to add, as my best friend just gave birth to a new baby girl the day after Christmas and I will be getting some photos of her this week. 

Spring sessions - my calendar is open, so if you are thinking about getting pictures made in the spring, email me as soon as possible with dates so I can get you scheduled. I am thinking of a mini-session maybe the first weekend in April, if interested in that, please let me know!

Happy 4th of July!!

Just wanted to share a few pictures of Reed and Sydney. I haven't added any of them recently, but thought that these were cute. The hugs and kisses that they once shared so often and getting a little more scarce, so when I capture one of those moments it is always a keeper!

Day at the Farmer's House

Yesterday we spent the day with Jad's family - I tried to catch some pictures of all of Reed and Sydney's cousins - there are lots of them!! So, I couldn't get them all in the picture at one time b/c they were running and playing all day, so I got some individual ones. In order of age there is Gus (4), Reed (3.5), Sawyer (almost 3), Sydney (1.3), Max (almost 1), Ella Grace ( 4 months), and then Gus has a little brother or sister on the way in July. So here they all are -

As promised - 2 pictures of Reed and Sydney showing off some of that brotherly/sisterly love!! I am sure in a few years when I ask them to give each other kisses they will say "NO WAY!!" so I am glad that I am capturing some of these moments now......

Swing Time

This morning the thought popped in to my head that I should get a really cute picture of Reed and Sydney together to be framed for my mom for Mother's Day. Not only a great gift for my mom, who is right now finishing up construction on a new lake house and would love to have some pictures of the grandkids to fill up the walls, but also a great gift for my mother-in-law AND my grandmother!! So my goal this morning was to get my kids dressed and get a picture of them together - and I had in my mind maybe a cute shot of them walking along a pathway holding hands..... sounds simple!

Well, needless to say, no picture of them together holding hands.... Sydney was not cooperative at all and definitely was not doing any hand holding! Here is what I got in between all the complaining and fussing!

and now for the outside shots, this is the first picture that I took of Reed once we got outside and I asked him to make a nice face so we can make some "picture presents" for Mother's Day, this is his idea of a nice face.....

               

At this point I attempted to get Sydney to sit down next to Reed, which she was not interested in, and I tell Reed to pretend that he is going to show her something so she will sit down next to him. Once she got plopped down all they would do is look at the ground for whatever it was that Reed was pretending to show her.....

                  

After that picture, Sydney cried for the next 10 minutes. Reed was a little more cooperative though, he climbed up in a tree for these next shots...

One problem was that I took her pacifier out of her mouth hoping she would at least give me one smile, but she immediately picked up a stick and stuck it in her mouth instead....

                  

ah... finally a smile!...

the only other picture that I got of them together, still not willing to give me a big smile but at least being nice to one another and picking flowers ...

                        

and that was about the first hour of our day!!! Not a complete waste of time. Going to try again tomorrow for something of them together and hopefully smiling, so stay tuned!
